Eureka Recycling's Recycled Paper Co-op Making Recycled Paper Available and AffordableEvery spring and fall, Eureka Recycling coordinates a buying cooperative that allows individuals, businesses, and organizations in the Twin Cities area to purchase recycled paper at a reduced cost. By combining smaller orders, we get a bulk discount from the supplier and pass the savings on to you. Buying through our co-op is the easiest and most affordable way for you to purchase environmentally friendly copy paper for your office. Return to Top Ordering Instructions for Recycled Paper Order Deadline: Tuesday, April 8, 2008 To place an order, simply: 1. Download the Recycled Paper Co-op Order Form. If you are unable to download the form, call us at (651) 222-7678 and we can take your order over the phone. 3. Your paper will be available for pickup at Eureka Recycling's facility (2828 Kennedy Street NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413) in late April. Be sure your vehicle is large enough to transport your order. PAYMENT : Payment is due at the time of your order. You may pay for your order by credit card, or bring a check, credit card, or cash payment when you place your order. Please make your check payable to Eureka Recycling. Looking for Compostable Products? While reusable cups, plates and cutlery are certainly the best choice for the environment, we understand that using compostable products is sometimes the only way to have a waste-free event.
We are no longer providing cooperative purchasing of compostable products, but we do have good news!
Eureka Recycling will soon offer a new and more comprehensive way to make your backyard barbeques, picnics, parties and meetings waste-free – a system complete with a way to get your stuff composted! Check back this summer for more details or send us an email about your event so we can keep you posted. For several years Eureka Recycling has offered compostable serviceware, cups and plates as part of our purchasing cooperative. In that time we’ve learned a lot about the issues and challenges associated with the use of compostable products. Clearly, the most important issue is the ability to actually compost these products (and your food waste) when your event is over. In order to truly reap the environmental benefits of a waste-free event, the compostable products, food waste and non-recyclable paper must be brought to a commercial composting facility – something most Twin Cities residents do not have ready access to at this time.
